Today we made our last group outing to London. The Tate Modern, St. Paul’s & the British Museum were on the agenda, so I had a couple of opportunities to see great art and artifacts and sketch.
The first sketch was when Rowan was busy eating a hot dog outside the British Museum. I told him I would finish the sketch when he finished the dog, which is close to what happened. He probably could’ve eaten two, but you get the point. I tried to work quickly.

After the British Museum, we headed over to St. Paul’s and sat in a lovely little park on the southeast side. Honestly, I needed the rest. Thankfully, sketching is relaxing. We sat on a bench and I drew for an hour while Rowan observed some locals and played a game on the iPod. I could’ve used a sheet stretcher for this sketch – the lantern on top of the dome didn’t quite make the cut.
